No dia 14 de fevereiro de 2018, o 16º Presidente Geral da SSVP, confrade Renato Lima de Oliveira, inicia uma nova visita à cidade de Roma, Itália.
Durante a manhã, ele participará no Vaticano da Audiência Pública das quartas-feiras com o Papa Francisco, quando entregará ao Sumo Pontífice um relatório sobre as atividades da SSVP na África, bem como informações sobre a viagem que Renato fará (com a graça de Deus) a sete países daquele continente, entre 22 de fevereiro e 14 de março.
Na parte da tarde, Renato se reunirá com o padre Giuseppe Guerra, CM (Postulador Geral da Causa de Canonização de Frederico Ozanam), acompanhado do confrade Antonio Gianfico (administrador da Causa e presidente da SSVP na Itália) e do confrade Sebastián Gramajo (assessor jurídico do CGI e 3º Vice-presidente Geral Adjunto), para analisar as próximas etapas do processo.
No dia seguinte (15 de fevereiro), o Presidente Geral irá se reunir com o Prefeito do Pontifício Conselho para os Leigos e a Família, Cardeal Joseph Farrell, uma vez que o SSVP faz parte da lista de instituições internacionais que possuem um reconhecimento eclesial.
E à tarde, o Presidente Geral se reunirá com o Cardeal Leonardo Sandri, Prefeito da Congregação para as Igrejas Orientais, para discorrer sobre o desafiador trabalho da SSVP no Oriente.
Também serão mantidos contatos com os novos responsáveis pelo Dicastério para o Serviço de Desenvolvimento Humano Integral (órgão do Vaticano criado pelo papa Francisco em substituição ao antigo Pontifício Conselho “Cor Unum”).
Pedimos orações para que a intensa agenda institucional a ser desenvolvida pelo confrade Renato Lima em Roma seja muito frutífera para o futuro da SSVP, sempre em favor das pessoas socorridas por nossas Conferências e obras.
Depois de terminar a visita a Roma, o Presidente participará da reunião da diretoria do Conselho Geral, em Paris, e logo depois terá início a viagem institucional e missionária à África.
